Wedding Rehearsal

My boyfriend is in his friend's s wedding tomorrow and tonight at 6 pm is the wedding rehearsal. We will be having chicken for dinner and tomorrow for the wedding we will be having a pig. I bought a lovely summer dress for the wedding tomorrow and I am hoping that it is acceptable to wear. I have asked Jacob several times to ask his friend and his fiance what they were expecting their guest to wear but they never got back to him on it. I am going to assume that the dress will be okay since it is a barn wedding and they didn't give any guidelines to what guest should wear. Length wise the dress is a little bit past my mid thigh and it is navy blue with flowers on it and I am wearing some sparkly sandals with it. My boyfriend has to wear navy slacks, a white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up half way, brown shoes and a brown belt. My dress matches what he has to wear and I am hoping that the colors I am wearing don't match the bridesmaids. I don't like matching the wedding party when going to weddings but when you don't know the color scheme and aren't given guidelines on what to wear. I am excited to be going to the wedding since it the first one that Jacob and I are going to alone together. The only thing I don't like about it is that the wedding starts at 6 pm and they will have to take photos afterward and we want to get to eat until at least 8 pm. I told Jacob that he needs to eat a snack beforehand or he will be extremely grumpy and hungry if he doesn't. Also since he is in the wedding party and has to take photos with them I will be left alone for an hour by myself until they are done and I don't know anyone going to the wedding. Now I have to find something to wear to the wedding rehearsal. He was told to wear nice khaki shorts and a polo. I was going to just wear my nice khaki shorts and a plain colored v-neck or one of the shirts that I have three off.
