Favorite "#" Songs #8 - "6 Underground"

We are at #8 in my Favorite "#" Songs series, which is songs with numbers in the title (and the number has to be numeric, not spelled out.) @FourWalls is doing one of these as well. Will we match? We'll see. Meanwhile, the eighth spot belongs to "6 Underground" by the Sneaker Pimps. "6 Underground" is trip hop at it's finest. And while the song stalled at #45 on the Billboard Hot 100, it reached #7 on that magazine's Modern Rock Tracks chart. It peaked at #15 in Britain, and reached #9 upon a rerelease. Sneaker Pimps sampled "Golden Girl" from the James Bond movie, Goldfinger. If you ever watched the television show Titans, you've heard it, as it was used as the series' theme song. By the way, Sneaker Pimps named themselves after the Beastie Boys employee, The Sneaker Pimp, whose job was to get the trio new sneakers in each city while on tour. And now you know. Enjoy!
