NEVER COMING BACK.

I could never forget the sadness felt in our home on that day when my eldest sister left on a jet plane for a foreign land. Of course, we knew that she would be back - that we would be seeing her again in a few years, but still, there was a very empty feeling in the house after her departure.
Now, just a year ago - in June my sister left again, but this time we knew that she wasn't coming back - she died. It was and still is a difficult time for family members left behind. Will the pain ever go away? I don't know . For the past year I have tried everything to deal with it, but nothing seems to be working. How do you cope when you lose a beloved family member and you never had the chance to say goodbye.

:( I can feel what you say, and I'm so sorry for you and your family. All I can say it's that the only thing that will help you with this is the Time, you need so much time, and we don't get over this things, we just learn how to live with this facts.
I send you a huge hug

How old was she Kandase? Where was she still in a foreign place and what happened to her?
So sorry to hear this.
Well I know that those who I have lost, I have felt such great grief that it lessens with time, but it never goes away. So in order to deal with this, I have made it a point of looking forward to the day I see them again.
It is so hard to remember I understand when we get a photo that reminds us.

@Kandae11 That makes it even harder when a person leaves us at such a young age, with so much to look forward to in life.
I am sorry for your sadness. RIP your beloved Sister.

I am so sorry @Kandae11 , I do not know how I will cope. I only hope that with time the hurt will lessen for you. You could maybe light a candle and take a moment to reminisce and say goodbye. May she rest in peace, and strength to you.

For me, it all depends on the person and the relationship. Some pain lessens over time. Some just never seems to ease up. I guess, the deeper the love, the deeper we grieve over the loss. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Wish I could give you a hug.
