Noisy Neighbors!!!

How many of you out there can relate to my current problem?? I live in an apartment complex and I have these neighbors downstairs that don't apparently work. Up all night into the wee hours of the morning. Right now it's exactly 4:44am and they are out talking and laughing very Loudly, obviously drunk and not caring about anything but their own amusement and pleasure. They do this at least 3-4 times a week. I have complained to the office but nothing ever happens. I'm usually in bed at this hour but have some time off of work this week. I'm usually not up at this hour but my sleeping patterns have changed because I'm not currently working. So right now I'm just stewing about my inconsiderate neighbors and hoping maybe one of these days things will change........Not likely though..

I can tell you horror stories about this that would make your hair stand on end. What you need to do is take video with sound. They won't last long if you present that video to the office. If the office does not act there are other routes you can take. I have suffered most of my life with these types of low lifes in apartment complexes and have moved I can't count how many times. Once I did get results in one place with the video recording of the intense noise and the owners let me out of my lease but did not evict those bad tenants, so I still had to move. In the end those particular tenants didn't pay their rent and were evicted but not due to my complaints that I know of..still the video with sound helped us.

@djbrat13 I wish you luck friend. I know the suffering of this well. Already since I have been in this apartment complex that I live in now, there has been 4 different tenants underneath me move or evicted..for producing chemicals and smoke and noise..all violations. Low life scum.

@TiarasOceanView sorry you've been through that. The apartment below me has seem many, many new tenants come and go as well. It's so frustrating...I feel your pain.

I am sorry to hear that. Did you try to talk to your neighbor kindly? I hope he is reasonable and tries to do some changes. I think other neighbors also complain about it because this noise not only affects you only. If some of you get together and go to tell him, perhaps he dares not to bother so many people.

@djbrat13 That's terrible to have neighbor like that. Being young doesn't mean that they can be inconsiderate and ignore others.

Yes, we all have talked to them about it. They are really young and seem to have their priorities in the wrong place. They only want to party and have fun, they struggle to pay bills and rent every month.

I am sorry to hear about that. Yes, we also experience that here. Sometimes, when everything was quiet, there will be a sudden scream of voices, barks of dogs. There are many people who loves to drink here and once they are drunk already, they will want a fight. Most of the time, that is the root cause of noise here.

Exactly, same here. Once they start drinking and smoking, things escalate quickly and it can get pretty rough sometimes. Or they just are very inconsiderate of other tenants around them, they just don't care and carry on with their business, very frustrating.

@TheHorse Awesome, I would like to live where you live. All my apartment living experiences haven't been that great. All of them were LOUD and just plain awful. I'm glad that you have a good experience. (((hugs))) to you

I don't think there is any way around this problem when it comes to living in an apartment complex...

We cant do anything if they are the Owners. If they rented the place, then they can be given eviction notice. Keep the office informed though, hoping someday they will take an action. :) Hope everything sorts out :)

These particular tenants have been causing problems for awhile now and the office is trying to get them evicted. I heard this from one of my other close neighbors. I'm wondering when??

@vsai2008 yeah, I don't know if they actually gave them an eviction notice or not. I guess I will find out in about 30 days...

Have you told them you are trying to sleep and asked them to quiet down? I'm sure they would apologize and do so.
