An auto accident in Holland Michigan on Monday morning has one 66 year old male driver Eldon Vonklompenberg in a hospital in Zeeland Michigan when he failed to stop at a red light near Lakewood Boulevard near the entrance ramp to U S Highway 31.
Vonklompenberg's auto hit a Pontiac Montana auto driven by Brett Talley, 23, who suffered minor injuries in the two auto collision.
The deputies at Ottawa County report the news of the auto accident that happened on Monday morning.
My view is that Vonklompenberg was either in a hurry to get on the ramp to the freeway is why he failed to stop at the red traffic signal on Monday morning.
The rule of thumb is to obey traffic stop signs since the other driver that the Volklompenberg struck probably did not use the rule of drive defensively since not every driver on the road will obey the traffic laws that are designed for our protection.
On the other hand, stopping at a red light or stop sign may delay you a few minutes. But it is better than having to either lose your auto or life for disobeying a traffic signal that says stop.

That is probably true since traffic laws that are broken are to be punished.

You are asking for it running a red.

The older driver if he survives his accident will think twice before running another red light in the future.

Yes, driving defensively makes sense as they don't always see the signals or obey the traffic signals.
