I have two girls who share a lunch box when we leave mainly to put their milk and water box for the ride. I got one in pink and of course it got dirty so I thought of washing it down so I can have it dried under the sun. So, I just made my own dish soap and added a bit of stain soaking soap with it to help soften the dirt that accumulated below the lunch box. Surprisingly, its a good mixture for cleaning my pink lunch box. I'm the type who wants to make sure the kids stuff are clean once a week just to take care of the things and not neglect it. Does anyone have other mixtures of some sort to clean lunch boxes that Are easy to find in your pantry? Please share some of it so I can use them for other things like kids toys or shoes. I want to write them down and keep it in one notebook. Yes, i love jotting down little notes of whatever so I won't forget.

I usually mix bicarb and lemon to use as a scrub to remove stains @sublime03 , a friend told me about it. It's good you got the whole lunch box nice and clean.

I'll jot that down for future reference. I always have difficulties taking out stains. Hoping that works well with the other stains I have difficulty removing.

@bluesa It might sound odd for others, but I can't wait to try it out actually. I love learning new tricks to help me out in my daily tasks. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Oops I meant my own mixture which contains dish soap and a bit of my stain soaking soap. It worked really well since I just checked it now and looks squeaky clean.

@sublime03 Oh okay - yes, I do the same too for stained dishes, mixing the dish soap with the stain soaking soap works really well...

Its always good to clean things weekly. Especially if milk has been in it.
