Sitemeter is closing down on July 1st, 2017. Anyone who reads this may find out later after that site retires permanently from its free site meter services.
I used it for a long time and am now looking to find another totally 100% free site counter for my personal home pages now referred to as a Blog.
There are several ones that provide the basic HTML code to put in all of your pages online so you can find out who has been there visiting your site so you can keep track of all the statistics. Below is a list of some free web counter sites for you to take a look at:

I don't usually check my stats for my website but did today and for that reason I found out that the one I was subscribed to for my site is going to retire permanently on July 1st, 2017. I am glad I did. Now I have to first find one I can really use and then take time to change the code on every last HTML doc and re-upload each one and that will be very time consuming.
