Poor dogs, Brooklyn is scared hiding under a desk. As soon as this month started, the neighbors started shooting off fire works. They have been doing it everyday this month. Kai gets scared also, but recovers a lot quicker. I am starting to think it is something to do with Bull dogs. She shakes so bad and can actually smell the fear coming off her. The last dog that was this scared was Tucker and he was part Pit Bull, part hound dog. Brooklyn is mostly Belgian Malinois in looks, except for her ears. That is where you can see her Pit Bull side the most. She tries to be brave, as every once in while she will bark at them. Then she will poke her head out to see if anyone wants to play ball with her. That works for a throw or two, then it is back under the desk till morning. When she knows it is safe to come out. In another news, we got a new water bowl for the dogs, Attach it to a waterline and it fills up automatically each time the dogs drink. It is pretty cool. Problem is both dogs are scared of it and caught Kai drinking out of our drip bucket in the shower we use to water the plants. I was trying to tell her, you are not scared of that storm drain water out in the river bed. Dark, dirty water, where I have to yell at her every time so she does not fall in again. Oh well, sure they will drink out of it when they get thirsty enough. They better, my sister paid 70 bucks for that water bowl system.
