My sister used to diligently spend some time to make a shopping list and hand it over to her husband. He would take it from her. When he returned she would sadly find so many items missing. When asked he would say 'Who looks at your list" Very mean I say. Forget about him.
I hope you are not like him

Depends on how much I need. If I need specific things I always have a list with me.

@allknowing True, a list on the table is no use when you are at the shops.

We never make one. We normally just go in and walk around and remember what we need. We normally just run out of the basic things and can remember them easily like eggs, milk, butter, bread, etc.

@allknowing Not really. We buy the same stuff pretty much every time so when we go in we know what we need and that is what we get. Some people just have a better memory than others do.

But even I have a list done, I always buy items that are not in the list.

I have a blank piece of paper stuck on the fridge with the help of the magnet. As and when i remember I write down there.

@allknowing That's a very good trick too. Normally when I prepare my shopping list I tend to spend much time thinking what is over and what I need to buy.

That is an issue with many. What to do to remember to take the list is a problem.
