First courgettes of the season.

We have picked and eaten our first courgettes of the season, and they were delicious. I only have 2 plants but they are producing lots of fruits, think I may need to research new recipes! Tomatoes and peppers are coming along, so lots to look forward to this summer!

Unfortunately the courgettes are quite overpriced here. We had a flood recently and the rise in price is due to this

Yes, that's a problem, the weather is the only risk to growing my own veg too. Hope the flood has gone now. x

Its a courgette / zucchini blossom yes, nice stuffed with cheese and tempura batter :)

Stuffed courgettes are delicious! I nearly fell off my chair when I read the title. I know the weather is crazy and could only think you must live in the Scilly isles or somewhere equally exotic! It is March and you wrote this in June!

Happy harvesting. We have not such a type of squash.
