Are You Celebrating Father's Day Today?

Last night my mom asked me if I wanted to come over for dinner tonight to celebrate Father's Day. My youngest brother and his girlfriend will be there, and I haven't seen them in a while. So I said I would come. I need to run by the store beforehand and grab my dad a gift. I'm going to get him "Logan," which Target has on sale for $12. He should like that since he is a big fan of the X-Men movies and saw "Logan" twice in the theater.
I will also get to meet their new kittens that they have been taking care of, which some stray mama cat abandoned in their yard. There are two of them and their eyes are just finally open I guess. They don't have names yet. My cat will probably hate me when I come home smelling like strange cats, but I can't wait to coddle those little babies. My sister has sent me pictures of them and they are adorable.

I've been spending the day remembering my Father and my Father in Law. Both have been gone for quite a while now. How exciting about those kittens! I'll be adopting a new kitten in a few weeks, after he's had his shots and operation. How old are these new kittens?

The kittens are still itty bitty -- their eyes have just opened. My mom and sister have to bottle feed them and help them go potty. They are so cute! Although I think they were confused wondering who I was. How exciting that you'll be adopting a new kitten! Does he have a name yet?

@Srbageldog Yes, I've named him Timothy! I let the people at the shelter know so they have started using his name. He was also very confused being in my arms and having no idea who I was or why I smell so different from everything he's used to! I just love kittens. They are so precious!

My husband had to work father's day. And our power was out. So it wasn't the best Father's day ever. I should have driven down to see my dad, but we had just seen them 2 days earlier. And it is a 1.5 hour drive.

I'm sorry your husband had to work and that your power was out. I'm sure your dad understands why you didn't drive down to see him if you'd just seen him two days earlier.
