Maybe I should have lied

My aunt called but mom wasn't around. We had a little chat and she whines why Mom never responded. I have told her so many times that the phone isn't loud enough because of her hearing problems.
Since it's Sunday, we talked about attending mass at the church. Not sure what's got into me and told her that I wasn't going to church anymore. It bothered her so much that she kept me on the phone for the few minutes. It was really starting to annoy me.
Maybe I should have told her the truth about hypocrisy of some members of the church members and my family members that was too overwhelming. Not to mention that I kept waking up late and too lazy to dress up. I just didn't feel going to.
I know she was worried but I don't want to go to church just for the sake of showing off. If you get hooked to church tradition and mass attendance but forgot how to act as a christian, that's not being devoted anymore.
Not really turning atheist here but it's just that I'm not in really into listening to priest's sermon. Maybe I'll make time I don't know.

Yes, he definitely hears us anywhere we go, he cannot just exist in the church alone @Nawsheen

I lie sometimes when talking about that subject with very old ladies. But there are several ways of not saying yes or no

Many times I would like to go into a Church here but I don´t feel welcome really.
I would much rather go and pray somewhere else where I feel at home.
I don´t blame you for how you feel.
I love the Churches in England they are free to walk into and I feel at home there but I don´t belong to either religion either even if they think that I do.

I tried so hard not to feel sleepy in a certain Ceremony that was going on ages ago but it was so very boring to me.

Yeah! Everythings has its 2 side, one is good, one is bad so I think that being lie if you don't admit your fault it's wrong, but if lie to protect somethings so it's good.
Nothing is perfect, even the perfect things just about 99.99% so lie is also like that
