Sinigang is Filipino soup dish which usually have clear and sour taste. Mostly have clear soup which we call sabaw. Sometimes you can try the thick soup served in the restaurant. The thick soup is actually due to rootcrip we call gabi. That make a sticky soup and the distinct taste of the dish. But unlike some sinigang it has other vegetable like eggplant, okra, radish, tomatoes and other veggies. If I may call this dish it will be Sinigang Ala Pinakbet.

no fish mixed with your dish? just plain and pure sinigang? what did you use, kabsat? the Knorr cubes, or the tamarind?

we usually use gabi (taro root), not radish (labanos). before the powdered sinigang mix, we used real sampalok (tamarind), so tedious!

Yummy! I love sinigang but without gabi. I only like gabi in a coconut milk viand.
