This one starts out with peas and ends with cheese sauce. That's how you know it's going to be a taste sensation.
On top of those lovely ingredients this one also calls for frozen waffles! So apparently the way to show your family you loved them in the late 1980s was to use store bought frozen waffles in your recipes. As if something called hot tuna wafflewich wasn't bad enough. It does say this recipe came from Arkansas underneath it, maybe they do things differently there.
Anyway if you want to complete this nightmare, you are also going to need tuna, cream of mushroom soup , and hot sauce. I'm not sure if the hot sauce would make it better or worse, but I'm not going to try it to find out. Apparently everything but the bread goes in a pot, you cook it on the stove until I'm guessing it is the same in appearance and texture as vomit from a cat who recently ate Elmer's glue, and then you spread it on some waffles that have recently been brought back to life in the toaster.
There's a little footnote at the end of the recipe that says for added fun and flavor you can drizzle hot cheese sauce over the top of the sandwich.

I should write a book about all these horrible recipes. Or start a running commentary blog on random things.
At least it's entertaining!

Nothing says love like frozen waffles!
But a nasty tuna concoction on waffles...no thanks, I think I'll pass.

@thislittlepennyearns Either they were desperate and making up concoctions with what little food they had left, or they must have been drunk. Or some weirdo who thinks waffles make a good substitute for bread!

That wasn't the part I found most disturbing. But yeah that is odd.
