I was wondering what if there was no religious indoctrination,Would most people be atheists? Because I assume most people believe in God due to indoctrination. Am I wrong?

yes, if some one says we knows, the born baby doesn't know anything about anything, but mother will teach slowly and she /parents wanted their children to be in a good path, good path will come from only by telling about good things, and the child must know about creator / respect the creation of the earth. in this process parents will tell their children about god (creation of the earth what we all believe). And I believe in this every one must know about god, if you wanted to have a good path good life. Otherwise we can see many disturbances in the life. I don't know fully about god but I believe some one is there who created this earth and he is god.

Maybe...and when you mention indoctrination, i almost immediately think Catholic, i don't know why. But partly it is because in my culture/country/place, it is Catholic that is like the culture when it comes to religion or spirituality. Although in modern reality now in this place/country/culture, there are already many different people from different faiths and thoughts.. I mean this place and the general population here, like other places in the world, although some places /counties might be known for somehow being backwards, slow, or otherwise different from more "advanced" country is also evolving in its own ways

@Roland2 You guess. Our country was invaded by Spain for a few hundred years and got it indoctrinated with their religion as well as all the politics going on then with enslaving , conquering, and whatever agenda people have during those years or era.

I think most of us would be believers in some sort of intelligent Creator. That life came from non-life and somehow developed into the many marvelous forms of plant, animal and human life makes no sense to many of us.

Well, we could have been focusing on science and have an advance civilization of our own, no need to searching for aliens that might help us.

Lol, funny. but kind of true though. but if it wasn't God who instructed some of this prophets who he left under leadership of leading some certain tribe or clan. We wouldn't have known science rather we would still be serving idols or Baal, just like the Babylonians did in those days.
