Said Mama Deer, "This Corn Taught Me Something," ...And what, pretty lady deer, did it teach you? "Those little yellow pills in that pail are NOT birth control pills. That's what it taught me." Sure enough, I was put onto "Kitchen Police" - (KP) duty - after supper tonight. As I stood there with the kitchen window right in front of the kitchen sink, there they came. This time, some mama deer and three little fawn-baby deer. I managed to dry my soapy wet hands quickly enough to pull the camera out of its pocket and snap several pix of the pretty critters - two more fawn deer showing now than were being taught the other day about how good corn can taste . Three of the little ones in all. Just then, the big boxer dog spotted our dinner guests and ran, barking and carrying on, at all of them, chasing the deer and fawns back into the forest trees way too fast for this old man and his camera to make even one more picture.
