Sunburned but had a great day

This morning our new bird started screeching to get out of the cage at 7am when my son woke up so none of us got to sleep in.
At 11 I went on a historical town walk. It was a short but interesting tour of what used to be a more booming town but id now very small. I found a gorgeous waterfall while I was exploring the town afterwards.
Before I came home I found 4 geocaches. They were boring small caches hidden in guard rails every 800 feet or so where a new guardrail stopped and another started. It's a fast way to rack up your total finds but I'd rather less finds and it be a interesting spot in the woods with a beautiful view etc.
By the time I got home 4 hours had passed and I am quite sunburned. I took my kids out for ice cream and that finished up my day.
The photo I added is of a beautiful turtle I got out of the road a few days ago.

@Courtlynn Last year we went to two theme parks. This year I know we will go to one soon but am not sure about the second one.

I love this time of year and seeing the turtles I do wish they would stay out of the roads though but I rescue them when I can.

Sorry you are sunburned I hope you get some relief soon. Sounds like your walk was fun and you saw some interesting stuff. Never heard of geocaches what are they?I am sure the kids enjoyed their ice cream.

Geocaches are containers that are hidden. You have to use an app that uses coordinates to find where it is hidden. My niece and I found 4 today. One was hidden in a guardrail, one in a stump, one in an old fallen hollowed out tree, and one in a fake birdhouse.

@shaggin Ah sounds cool. I saw on our news here recently how they are stopping people from taking painted rocks into town and hiding them if caught they go to jail.

Yes the sun is strong. Maybe you have aloe vera to apply to it for relief.

I actually have an aloe vera plant that was growing very well until I repotted it and now it is doing really bad. I do have a bottle of aloe vera that I bought on Amazon and used on the burn.

I have done it a few times lately but it just hard to get time to myself to go do it. I prefer hiking in the woods and finding them then all these new guardrail hides around here. I created two yesterday down a trail where the railroad used to run.

@paigea No it's not hard to make them. I have 8 now I think. There is a little thing on the site that helps teach you how to make one and get it submitted. If you don't do it right they will not approve it and will tell you want you need to do to get it approved.

It's really fun doing this sometimes. Just like me who is part of doing some carpentry in our village, its great doing it.
Wow, that was a shy turtle hiding the head.

I need to do some work around the house as well like painting the walls and ceilings. I feel like summer just started but yet is almost over as well. My kids keep me pretty busy with don't have much time to relax.

Shaggin, when I was growing up I had a friend that had a turtle we made up this language to talk to him. We would say to it hashou beezie or something like that. It was cute and funny at the time. So, whenever someone mentions a turtle I like to ask if they talk to him or her.
