The 'Misty' Brand is a no no in Germany

Would you know why the Misty Brand is not marketed in Germany? . Misty in German language means 'dung' See what different languages do to a product. Can you think of any such words that clash with other languages?

The name of the first European money the Ecu, has been changed because it was too near "kuhë", cow in German, and the French pronunciation for "l'Ecu" and "les culs" was the same and could lead to a bad pun, the second meaning "the butts". Euro is not a lot better for the Greeks, because in Greek "euroeis" means moldy.

@allknowing I think the German word is mist, not misty, but it is certainly not good for a brand in Germany to have a name starting by "Mist".

I can think of a foreign language that contradicts its meaning. In my country, there are so many dialects and some words contradict its meaning.
