Dining out during Public Holiday is a Headache!

Yesterday was the first day of Hari Raya Puasa. It is one of the Muslim festive season that is celebrated not just the muslims, but every religion enjoys this holiday too. In Malaysia, Hari Raya Puasa is a compulsory public holiday for 2 days but school children and students are given a week off from school which they enjoyed most. Yesterday, we went out for dinner at a shopping mall. We decided to dine at Nando's because I am a member there and I have 2 FREE meals in my account; a whole chicken and Peri-peri skewers. Unfortunately, there weren't any available seats when we reached the restaurants. Since it is a public holiday, many people are dinning at the shopping mall. It was packed with crying toddlers, couples, families ordering food and waiting for the food to arrive. Around 15minutes of waiting, we finally found a small table of 4 sets, cramped up in a corner. Getting the waiter to take our order was a headache. The waiter/waiteress were so busy walking here and there. Of course , nobody was happy but that is the situation when dinning out during public holidays! What was your experience?

I usually don't go out on holiday s, I mean j spend time at home and cook some special dishes, that's how I enjoy my holiday. I know most of the people like to spend time outside on their holiday but I don't .

I agree with you. Should had spend more time at home cooking homemade dinner. Next time, I would shop for the groceries first before the public holidays.
