My Photography - Kayla & John

I made a post yesterday about having another paid photo shoot and that I would post the photos soon. Well here is one of my favorites from the session. I was able to give her 35 photos and out of those 35, I LOVE 18 of them the most. I normally only have 2 or 3 favorites but this time it was so hard to pick just 2 or 3. I will be posting all 18 of them eventually but I am starting with this one. The park we were at was lovely. I will be using it again in the future with other people. I love this one because it is so relaxed and they were just talking and laughing and I just took a photo. You can tell from these pictures that they really love each other and she really admires him. You can see it in their faces and smiles. They took some really cute photos yesterday.

Honestly, it just takes a lot of practice. Never stop taking photos. If it is something you love and want to do and are passionate about then you will always be able to find the time to take photos. If you love it then you will always be able to find a photo to take in everything. Don't be afraid to be creative and think outside of the box when taking photos or looking for something to take a photo of. Also, editing has a lot to do with it as well. Use an actual editing program like Adobe Photoshop, elements, or lightroom. Never use an app you found on your phone or a random online place. They will cause you to over edit your photos and make them look cheap. My friend uses a phone app because she doesn't want to pay for Abode and her photos are overly edited and very fake looking and I believe that is one of the reasons no one is coming to her for photos. It is one of the reasons why Kayla didn't go back to her for photos and because she wouldn't go that extra mile to get the perfect photo. It is a lot harder than people think it is to do photography. Most think it is just a point the camera and press a button kind of thing but it is a lot harder than that. Under each of my photos, I post I add details about what I did to it editing wise and people on here asking me why I would edit it or why I would do that. A lot of people don't understand that the photo you see posted took a lot of work to get the to look that way. I had thought about doing a before & after thing here with my photos to show people that editing is what gives that photo the pop of life that they love and that it is necessary if you want to be good. Always be willing to learn new things. Don't just settle and think that your work is as good as it is going to get or that it is already good/perfect and you don't need to improve. There are always things to be learned and we can always improve. The same friend who uses the app to edit believes she is good enough and again won't take the risk to get the photo or think outside of the box to get the person a unique and special picture. She is one of those that believes she is good enough without help or learning new things. She went in thinking she was perfect and that it wasn't that hard and now it is showing through in the photos she takes and post. Also, NEVER GIVE UP. There will be days you will look at your photos and see nothing but what is wrong with it and there will be days that you will look at a photo and love everything about it. You have to remember to not be so hard on yourself when looking through your photos because you will be your worse critic with your photos. Most importantly truly LOVE what you do and give your best and you will succeed in it. I wish you the best and don't be afraid to come to me with questions, advice, or if you want someone to preview your photos and give you tips.

@HeartBM You're welcome. It is one of those things where some people just have what it takes and some don't but if you try and are willing to learn then you can make it.

I sent her the photos today & she told me multiple times that she loved them. She has posted a lot of them already & they have both changed their photos on Facebook.
