Poseidon Adventure comes in on my disaster movie list at number 4. It was originally filmed in 1972 and had a great cast of outstanding actors and actresses. Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Red Buttons, Carol Lynly, Roddy McDowall, Stella Stevens, Shelly Winters, Jack Albertson, Pamela Sue Martin, Arthur O'Connell, and Eric Shea.
A ship gets caught in a large wave and is overturned. Hoping for rescue passengers make their way to a point where they believe will be the best place for rescue to come.
Directed by Ronald Neame and Irwin Allen.

I loved the Poseidon Adventure. I saw that as teen ager. I think it is my favorite disaster movie. What is number one on your disaster movie list or is that on another post?

I remember seeing The Poseidon Adventure in the Balboa Theater (now Teatro Balboa) in Balboa Panama when it came out. The theme song to this day brings up pleasant memories.

Yes it was good acting. I'll need to listen to the theme song. I don't recall it.
