A couple of years back,i had read a Book named "who moved my cheese?".It is one of those best sellers that have sold over 30 million copies across the globe and still continues to be among the top selling books today. The book teaches us how with a little change in our thinking we can succeed with achieving our goals easily. Here are a few learnings from the book #1 : Always keep in mind that " change is the only constant in life" #2 : If I don't change I become Extinct.I have to learn to be adaptable. #3 : It is good to feel the 'FEAR' at times, not always.Fear prepares us to accept the worst. #4 :We should develop the skill to sense 'CHANGE' and be ready to face it when it comes. #5 :We should learn to take risks and learn to walk through our fears and comfort zones and be positive at all times. This will help us give our 100% #6 : Never never never give up 'DREAMING" dreams are the foundation stone to reality. your goals will only take concrete shape only when you believe in them. #7 : Never cling on to the past ,especially a change occurs.Take quick action and move ahead. #8 :Never sit down to worry with arms folded.Keep moving in life in search of what you want. #9 :Old methods never give new results. To see a change in something you have to bring a change in your inputs and keep pushing towards your goal. #10 : Learning to notice small changes early help you adapt to bigger changes that are to come. #11: Sometimes our imagination is our worst enemy. The fear that we build up may be worse than the actual situation. #12: And at last but not the least,we must always move on in life and learn to move with times. I hope this post is helpful to all in achieving your goals.Good Luck!!

I have seen people who like this book mention Paulo Coelho's book "The Alchemist" - is there a similarity?

There was a fashion for this kind of short, story-based self help book from the mid-90s onwards. I have to admit that I got a lot more from The One Minute Manager.

Hello there,I am glad to know that you have gone through "The one minute manager". Stephen covey's "The seven habits of highly effective people is another favourite of mine.Indian author Shiv Khera's books are a no:1 seller in India," you can win" being the most popular one.

Yes, very rightly pointed out.The story is about 4 mice who lived comfortably in a place where they found an enormous supply of cheese for themselves and live happily, until one day ,when all the cheese was moved away to a different place and they had nothing to eat and how each of them had to device a different strategy to find their cheese. Read it and you'll love it :)
