Counting steps

I downloaded an app a few weeks ago with the intention of tracking my sleep, but the app I chose also happens to let you track the food you eat as well as your steps. I've become addicted! I don't really change what I'm eating because of it, but it is good to see how much fat vs protein vs carbs I'm eating. But I have to get more steps! During th school year I get plenty of steps walking to class from my dorm and to practice every day, but with my summer desk job, I'm barely moving at all. I get steps in as many ways as I can (like walking and typing this post!) But the annoying thing is that I have to have my phone in me in order for it to track them. Does anyone else have an app like this? (If anyone has Samsung Health and wants to be friends, let me know!)

Good for you! I have a Fitbit Blaze which motivates me to move more. It seems to do everything while on my wrist. I rarely carry my phone around.

I've looked into getting a Fitbit, but the cost doesn't make sense for a broke college student [who already works out anyway]. So you like the Fitbit though?

@supercalifredge I understand. To me it's pure fun. I like to see how I sleep, my daily steps, and my calories. I only bought it because my husband wanted one. I know many people who use their phones.

I used to have one that tracked calories and steps, so you could see how much you were taking in and spending. It was pretty great. I used to have Samsung health, but don't have a samsung anymore. lol.

Well, that makes it kind of difficult to use Samsung health, lol. And yeah, i definitely think that seeing what I'm taking in vs expending is helpful.
