I never knew this until a saw a program on television recently. As always, I jot things down in my notebook and I had forgotten about it until today as I was looking for some other information and came across this notation.
When I first heard what the narrator said, I could not believe that it could possibly be true. Well, here are the facts!
Vatican City is the smallest country in the world. And it IS a country. It measures only one-fifth of a square mile, about the size of 100 football fields.
Russia, the largest country in the world is 33 million times larger, the narrator said. He didn’t give the square miles of Russia, so I looked it up. It’s 6.6 million square miles. I’m sure he wouldn’t have said it, if it wasn’t a true fact. Amazing!
That’s an interesting piece of trivia that I think will dazzle almost anyone. Is it really true?
What do you think?

Sure. Look at the size difference in states between Rhode Island and Texas in the lower 48.
