Do You Have a Bird Feeder On Your Property??

I would really like to buy a bird feeder for this house, but they say that you aren't supposed to fill them in the summer in case they attract animals that you don't want. I guess the biggest fear is bears so I'm kind of listening to their warnings. But if we ever move back to the city, I will definitely be doing so. We had an old picnic table right outside the patio doors and would watch the birds chase each other for hours fighting for their territory. Do you have a bird feeder on your lawn? What seed attracts the most birds where you live?

We live in a metropolitan city. I have a bird feeder which I fill it with water in summer. Pigeons and crows only come to take water. Sparrows have almost vanished from congested concrete jungles.

@Hate2Iron Yes, it is really hard and it will be in the fitness of things, if we on our part take care of need of water of birds. This is what we at least do for them.

Yes, I have read lots of articles about how hard it is for birds to find water during the summer!

We have several bird houses around the property, but have no idea if they have ever been used! They are too far away from the house!

@Hate2Iron Not in my apartment, Shirley. Someone had gotten in trouble for doing that last year. I'm fine watching them from my window.

We have always had them and we used to take out our scraps too lol. The only thing that they wouldn't eat was bananas lol!

@Hate2Iron I didn't know they ate scraps, except bread crumbs.

I do not. My little cousin made one herself the other day but the bigger kids ruined it on her.
