That is me, frowning up a storm for some reason. I have very few pictures of myself as a baby or child, but I am finding some of them. I love pictures and I have dozens of albums.
I’m glad that someone took pictures of me when I was young. That picture was taken over 70 years ago. I don’t even know what kind of camera was used. It’s amazing that anything as old as this photo has survived. Hah!
Actually, I have older photos, one of my great, great, grandfather who was born in the 1800s.
Photography has taken some GIANT leaps since those days. Sometimes when I think about all the progress, it is truly amazing. Today we take so much for granted. All this modern technology is wonderful. Kids today have it made.
They all have phones and tablets and laptops and all sorts of electronic games and devices. AND they know how to use all of it too.
I’m still trying to figure it out.
The truly amazing thing is how the very first camera was conceived? How did the camera come to be? Who ever thought that a photograph could be taken of someone in the first place? It’s mind-boggling.
What do you think?

I wonder what little children DO think about when they are so very small? They do think about things, I'm sure but when they get older, most do not remember anything they did or thought, before the age of at least three or four years old. My earliest memory was when I was about four, I think.

It's always puzzling to me how someone thought that they COULD take a photo of someone or something and then have the ability to invent the camera.

Love that photo. You look like Alice in wonderland in a giant chair. Yes, photos are a wonderful thing for memories. I have one scanned in my computer of my grandparents with my mom when she was a baby and my mom was born in 1911. Here it is a very small photo but interesting.

@IreneVincent yes, I loved the look of those long dresses on ladies and sometimes with those bustles in the back

I can't resist being awful: you mean they had cameras back then?

I used to have pictures of my great grandparents parents. Those pictures were amazing to look at. It's not wonder they frowned in the pictures with what they had to go through to get a picture made
