The only thing I don't like about the 4th of July is how the noise scares the animals. 
While Mom and I were watching TV in the living room, Angel kept trying to cram herself into different corners.
Now that I've come to my room, she's under my desk with only her head sticking out by my chair (see picture).
I know fireworks are fun and all, I enjoyed them when I was a kid--I just wish they weren't so loud.

It seems like fireworks have gotten worse over the years. When I was a kid it was rare to see illegal ones. Now that's all anyone celebrates with.

As a kid, we don't realize how they affect others or animals. Unless taught it, so we just want to see them and thats it. As an adult, i personal still love watching them but i understand and wish theyd only do them one or twice a year.

Poor Angel... Yes, we have the same problem with our dogs too. I know fireworks are fun and usually on when there are some big celebrations going on, but for some how some one in my neighbourhood gets hold of firework and they just have it now and then...
