I have been here for many years and I know this site like the palm of my hand. There are users who have preconceived opinions on people sometimes good and sometimes bad but all based on assumptions. You must be knowing ASSUME is to make an ASS of U and ME. Most do not talk about their personality here and so it is foolish to judge them. There are a few who believe in WYSIWYG. That's how it should be and interact accordingly. Trying to dissect a person's character whether good or bad is ridiculous in a virtual world. If you are not comfortable interacting with users for whatever reason just move on but do not justify to the community why. One man's meat is another man's poison. With this attitude this place can be a great place. There is yet another way to make this a great place and that is to just throw those opinions in the dust bin and move on. Your take please.

I did have a few pinpricks to start with but I got wiser in my ways and ignored those who tried to pick on me. Nothing strange. We are a bunch of human beings here and some of those 7 sins one sees here sometimes. WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get

I dont´t try to judge others on here either. I might think something about a remark that I do not like but that is very rare. Most of us on here know how to be and what to do.

One bad apple is enough to spoil one's day.

@allknowing The bad apple was from sonewhere else where I was writing and tried to tell me what to do but I just ignored the said person. Even though English is my first language I make mistakes like everyone else. This is what I told her. Think that was enough for the day.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Native speakers are not spared as not all of them can write good English and that does not mean they should be ridiculed. There are so many other issues where one can get hurt and there is no need to hurt others when one has choices to say anything politely. I do not think anyone worries if one does not agree but how it is done is important.

You know what one of my pet hates is? - People who use acronyms without explaining what they mean I agree that we shouldn't assume that we know all about people just from interacting with them, they may be completely different in real life. However, it's only natural to form opinions about those we interact with regularly.

I will give you one real life example. This couple was awarded the made for each other title. Obviously it was all due to the projection but shortly their divorce came through. The wife was a friend of mine!!!

Wise words, Grace. Unfortunately, there are bitter, ignorant, lowlife, small minded, jealous, gossiping, loud-mouthed, nasty people in the virtual world as in the real world. My take is to get them out of my life. Don't need them. Don't want them.

We are here to have fun and not to judge others based on some words put here. Having said that if those words hurt then have nothing to do with those who have put those words.

There is no need to be curt and hurting and if I find anyone doing that to me out they go.

I think words speak volumes so it is very easy to make up one's mind about someone - right or wrong. I must admit I do decide based on a person's own words and reactions, who they are. However, I don't accuse anyone but use my own judgement to decide how I interact with them or if I interact at all, For example, if based on someone's responses I feel they are "sensitive" I will be conscious about my responses to avoid upsetting them.

Very Good advice@allknowing . Mylot is a community. In a community everyone should know what to say, how to say, how to behave. When all realize this it's fun to be together.

Been with few sites before parking my time here. For me the ride has been easy as I don't take comments personally like I do even in life. Everyone has a reason to respond the way they do and, sometimes, my own comments can vary depending on how I view issues from different angles. I am here to partake in the feast of interactions and get reassured we are made of the same stuff - siva

@allknowing Agreed, I recall one comment at another site. I had received many positive comments and one obviously wanted to throw a wet blanket with a comment "your post does not make sense". I replied " thanks for trying to make sense out of it" siva
