Good news, mylot laptop is still alive

Hello friends Since last two days I wasn't much active here, my laptop was one of the reason. It was having some fever and wasn't turning on. I did my best to wake it up but it wasn't listening to me. Finally it listen to some technical person and now it is live again. I thought I have to purchase another one but good to know that I got saved from spending big for now. I wonder till when it will be alive. Hope it will live long.

it's so funny how you wrote this. they can be so temperamental, right? had the same problem last year with our very old cpu. the shop changed the motherboard and reformatted and gave it only 6 months to live. thankfully, it almost reached almost a year before it started acting up again. so had to be retired and now have new cpu.

So its kind of you have new life there. Yes they are so temperamental, never listen to me. So always try to be nice with them. Hopping for the best.

I guess this laptop is quite old, and yes I need new one. So I will use new one as normal and put this old one as backup. But for now I am working with this old one and hope at least it will stay on for couple of months.

I hope so. It is working okay for now, but I am not sure when it is going to have another heart attack and it may be final one.

Good to know you can still use it. I'm using my old computer that has crashed a few times but I've been able to do CPR and give it some more life. I think this fall or winter it's time to get a new one.

Same here, even I am thinking for new one, but hope till than it will last long. Otherwise I have to go for instant purchase. I hope CPR will keep it alive.

Was it motherboard problem or window crashed? You had better scan for virus daily. Glad everything is ok

Not virus problem. That person said me it was motherboard related problem, but it got solved in less cost.

@peachpurple Yes, I was worried after hearing about mother board related problem. But they said it was minor and got fixed. I don't know in details but yes its safe for now. Hope problem will not get repeat.

Yup, I am glad I don't need to spend more money for now. But this laptop is quite old now, hope it will able to be here with me for long. Otherwise I have to go for new one.

How long have you been using the laptop? If fixing it next time would cost a lot then maybe it's time to get a new one and avoid all the headache

Actually this laptop is 7 years old. Well fixing cost me quite less this time, but yes its better to switch to new one if it is costing me more. If they mentioned about higher cost then I could have gone for new one. Let's see for how much it survives. I guess ending time is quite near. Lol
