Saddest Summer

In my home, the canines are royal. What with the daily cleaning of the grounds for sanitary doggy habitat. And early this year, in exasperation of taking care of five dogs, I took a deep breath and told my sister that five doggies are simply too much. Boom! By March, our Brittany Spaniel was taken by some cruel creatures. Hu Hu. That's what I get for complaining. Then the Equinox came. With the heat, the soil became arid. My royal household suddenly became infected with some fatal illness. My Japanese Spitz went 11 June, my mixed Spaniel and Collie, just a puppy, came next, 19 June, and my lovely half Collie succumbed, more to depression, I think, 30 June. I have one more pup, a survivor, and I pray she lives full term of a doggy's life.
