This one should be quick and painless, as there really isn't much info available about this particular song. We are at #8 in my Favorite "Talk" Songs series, which is simply songs with "talk" (or a variation) in the title. The 8th spot belongs to "She Talks in Stereo" by Gary Myrick and The Figures.
1980's cult hit, "She Talks in Stereo" is a catchy slice of new wave alternative pop from the band's self-titled debut album (one of only two, after which Myrick went solo before ending up in the band Havana 3am with Clash bassist Paul Simonon.)
Fans of the 1983 movie Valley Girl should remember the tune, which was used in the film.
And there you have it. A fun song that probably should have been a bigger hit than it was. It was overshadowed by other songs from the soundtrack, namely The Plimsouls' "A Million Miles Away," and Modern English's "I Melt With You." It definitely deserved better.

Remember the song well. Another 80s great one. Valley Girl would make a good entry on top new wave 80s movies.

It's a good 80's movie. It stars a very young Nicholas Cage.

Billboard's bio says Myrick worked with John Waite when Waite broke out with "Missing You." That's a pretty eclectic history, from Waite to Paul Simonon, then replacing Stevie Ray Vaughn in a local band?!?!?
Oh, the song is great. You're right, it probably was overshadowed by "A Million Miles Away," which was overshadowed by "I Melt With You," but there was room for all of it in the early 80s.
