DNA... We Found Another One!!

Sometimes DNA Tests Blow Me Away!
I took my test in late December and each couple of days one or two new cousins show up... and yes they are real. I obviously haven't gone through all of them yet, but I have found several who share the same great grandparents as I do and we are all around the same age. Because we have a love of genealogy, I have to say that I'm closer to them than I am to my own first cousins! The latest is a woman who was adopted at 6 days old. She has turned up on all of our DNA reports so we are pretty sure that she is one of these cousins, and will be putting our heads together to figure out where she fits into the family.

She took a DNA test too and she showed up as a match... I contacted her and so did a few other people and she began to notice a trend starting to happen. And she came in with a healthy number of centimorgans so I knew she was related to me. And then I did some asking around other cousins who had taken the test... It didn't take very long to figure out after that!

It must be so hard not know your family history but then again I'm obsessed with DNA...

It's like a gift that just keeps on giving... nothing so far today, but I will keep on checking!
