Are You Afraid of Snakes?

Generally speaking, I’m NOT afraid of snakes, because they are not aggressive. They slither away and avoid humans if they can.
I was wondering though, what is considered to be the MOST venomous snake in the world and where would be found?
I was reading something about the Panama Canal and came across this information.
One of the reasons that men have NOT built a sea-level canal between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans is to keep this snake out of the Atlantic Ocean.
The locks of the Panama Canal keep this Pacific snake out of the Atlantic.
It’s called “Hydrophis belcheri” and it is considered to be the most poisonous of sea snakes, although it is NOT aggressive. It is found near the Ashmore Reef in the Timor Sea off northwest Australia. It grows to about six feet long.
You won’t find me swimming in the Timor Sea. What do you think?

I have never been afraid of snakes. And have plenty of opportunity to be where we live now, there are many many different kinds.

Aren't there cottonmouths in Florida? Out here in the west, the only poisonous are rattlers and they are in the desert.

@JohnRoberts We have cottonmouths here in the rivers of Virginia. We also have copperheads. Both are poisonous.

A snake of any size is enough for me. I didn't know Manitoba's reputation before we moved here!

I don't like spiders. That's something that I despise. And I'm very afraid of wasps and hornets.
