Hi All, Lets discuss about true love. According to me true love is a myth. Because as per me love is nothing but giving a person everything without expecting anything in return. But in real we all expect something in return, some will expect love, some will expect money and some will expect sex.

You're very right dear! I believe true love exists(not like in the fairy tales or anything) but it's very rare you find someone who really loves you. Nowadays, you see people breaking people's heart. I've been pushed slot of times to conclude that there's nothing like love, but when I look at my grandparents, I think otherwise. So there is Truelove but in our generation? hmm it's rarer than a gem. Are you new to mylot? WELCOMEEEE!!! :)

Though a lot of people have expectations from the person they claim to love, it is possible to find true love in this world.

@lonewolf28 You may discover true love later in life. My husband and I "fell in love" when we were only16 years old. That was a very long time ago. I can honestly say that I truly loved him and we stay married through many ups and downs. Through sickness and being poor for awhile and many other things. We never gave up on each other or our marriage., I know that is RARE for persons that young. There is a song that says: "They tried to tell us we're too young. Too young to really be in love. They say that love's a word, A word we've only heard, But can't begin to know the meaning of. And yet we're not too young to know. Our love will last though years may go. And then someday they may recall. We were not too young at all." I will try to remember the name of that song, which right now I cannot remember, but I always thought it applied to me and my husband. The name of the song is "Too Young" by Nat King Cole You can find it on YouTube

I agree with you that when we love, we expect something in return. In my point of view, when we are good to our partners, they should be good to us, too. When we give our all and they don't give their all to us, I guess we'll feel disappointed or hurt. True love is really hard to find. Sometimes we even wonder if there is true love. In every relationship, there should be two people sharing love. They should nurture it to make it last. There will be fights and misunderstandings to test their love for each other and loving needs a lot of sacrifices. If one will give up, then, there's no forever and we can't say there is "True Love." I guess it just depends on us if "True Love" really exists or it's just a myth. When we believe, then it exists. Happy mylotting everyone!

@lonewolf28 So I'm right. I thought that you were young. Young people love to make such general remarks - like your last sentence - as if they had already experienced everything in life.

True but sometimes you meet the person that you don't expect anything because every thing to be expected is offered. Better half remember someone to "complete" you hence nothing more is expected.
