Birds have interfered with airplanes sharing the same space. This is an ongoing problem and one not easily solved.
It has been discovered that some small migratory birds, in flocks, fly as high as 20,000 feet in the air.
The bar-headed goose which migrates from Asia to India must cross over Mount Everest, at almost 30,000 feet.
Another bird, the Ruppell’s griffon – a vulture with a wing span of EIGHT feet – flew into an airliner above the Ivory Coast in 1973, at an altitude of 37,000 feet.
You might wonder how birds can breathe at altitudes where humans require a pressurized cabin. Birds have a system of air sacs, in addition to their lungs. This helps them to have the ability to extract maximum oxygen from the air at higher altitudes, even from the thin, cold air over Mount Everest.
Birds are another marvelous creation by Almighty God, who knows all things.
