Cats or dogs, which is your favorite?

I am a big fan of dogs. My dog has a very good bonding ability. Is almost like it knows when am sad, then it will come and start robbing it's body against me. Sometimes, when I travel and am returning, I wonder how the dog still manages to recognize me. There are times, my travels keep me away for several months. On my return and to my astonishment, my dog still recognizes me almost instantly.
