As I mentioned in the first one of this series, all these are favorites in no particular order. I first saw The Greatest Story Ever Told in theaters. It's a great story of Jesus from birth to resurrection. There aren't any surprises as most people know the story. The Greatest Story Ever Told had five Academy Award nominations and an all-star cast. Max von Sydow played Jesus Jose Ferrer was Herod Antipas Charlton Heston was John the Baptist Martin Landeau was Caiaphas Angela Lansbury was Claudia Pat Boone was an angel at the tomb David McCallum was Judas Iscariot Roddy McDowall was Matthew Dorothy McGuire was the Virgin Mary Claude Rains was King Herod Telly Savalas was Pontius Pilate John Wayne was the Centurion Sidney Poitier was Simon of Cyrene Plus many more names you might recognize. The movie came out in 1965 and had a $20 million dollar budget. Information verified from IMDB and case back cover. Picture mine.

I saw that back in the day. It was beautiful, but those kinds of movies are always so hard to watch....but they humble me.

The one that's hard to watch is The Passion. Which reminds me, I don't have that one on my stack. I'll have to get it out of the video cupboard.

@amadeo He's doing well. Right now he's in Upper Michigan on a job that initially was to last 15 days, but could last as long as 2 months. He doesn't know if he's going to do the whole two months. He doesn't know if he wants to be gone that long from home. He will be home in 15 days though, and might go back. That's what I expect him to do.

@JohnRoberts I also bought Ben Hur and the Bible because I was never home when it was on. I always missed those movies.
