The good news for fans of actor Chris Pine who played the role of Steve Trevor in the first "Wonder Woman" movie when his character died near the end of the movie is that he will be back for the sequel.
The question is if he will come back as the son, grandson or a look a like or person that is his namesake in the second "Wonder Woman" movie?
My suggestion is that Trevor returns as a person who looks like him but he is not related to him but uses the name Steve Trevor by coincidence.
The plot of the second "Wonder Woman:" movie is that she battles the powers that be in the former Soviet Union in the last days of the Cold War.
I guess that the producers of the movie are capitalizing on the relationships between the U S and Russia in the political arena in the liberal news media scope.
My feeling is that Patty Jenkins will have to make some compromises with Warner Brothers Studios since she wanted the second Wonder Woman movie to be set in the 1930s.
I can see the satire magazines like Mad and Cracked saying in the satire version of "Wonder Woman" the reason Steve Trevor is returning to the movie.
The same reason that Lois Lane who died in the first "Superman" movie that starred the late Christopher Reeve was according to the Mad writers was that without Lois Lane that would not be a Super Duper Man movie sequel.

The fans of the movie are wondering how will Steve Trevor return from the grave. My suggestion is to have someone who looks like him and uses his name.

@TiarasOceanView I got the idea when I looked up the name of former Panamanian beauty queens Iris Avila and Gilda Garcia and I found out that they are many women who share that name. I also remember a Wordgirl cartoon when someone named Mister Birg looks like the business tycoon Mister Big but they are not related.

It reminds of the joke in Mad magazine why Lois Lane was brought back for Superman II, she was needed for the movie just like Steve Trevor is needed for Wonder Woman before she dates Superman.
