Day 307 Proverbs 28:28 Proverbs 28:28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase. We are living in a time when wickedness and evil seems everywhere. People are afraid to leave their homes for fear something will happen to them or their loved ones. The evidence of such fear is heard on the evening news, seen in the acts of violence in their cities and neighborhoods, and brought home by their children from the schools they attend. Governments work to overthrow wicked regimes and dictators who do more harm than good, but when one is deposed, another takes his place. It is a never-ending battle to live in peace. Solomon said that when wicked people rise into places of authority, people hide, but they come out when they die and flourish. Satan wants nothing more than for people to live in fear. He does everything he can to destroy all the works of righteousness and kill God’s people. Yet for all his attempts at destroying the gospel of Jesus Christ, it continues to flourish, especially as God’s people rise and claim back everything Satan stole from them. John 10:10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Is Jesus your Savior? Have you acknowledged him before your friends and acquaintances? Have you stood on God’s Word and taken back what Satan stole from you? Do you walk your neighborhood claiming the lives of your neighbors for Jesus Christ? Do you see how Satan is working in your family, your community, and your church to destroy you from the inside out? It’s time for God’s church, you, to rise up, take a stand, and defeat the forces of wickedness wherever it’s seen, so that Satan cannot raise his head and do anything to you, your loved ones, your community, or your church. It’s time to send laborers into the vineyards, to reap the harvest of souls, ready for the kingdom of God. It’s time to throw down wickedness and take a stand for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Are you ready? Let’s pray: Father, send me into your harvest fields. Help me take back what Satan stole from me. Help me throw down wickedness wherever I see it, and tell Satan he can’t have anything that belongs to me or you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I am so thankful to be living in a community that has a lot of Christian people compared to other places I have lived. Unfortunately, it appears to me that Satan tries to influence Christians. It is not in this community that I see it but in other areas and people I know. It is like they have given their hearts to Jesus, but they have a lot of bitterness. They think nothing of hurting others, and they pass it down from one generation to another. They call people names...they are disloyal.....they try to turn people against each other. You know they said they gave their hearts to Jesus, but is such that as nice as they can be..that is how malicious they can be. I find myself asking...Really? And yet, it is not for me to judge the salvation of another person.

Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. If they aren't bearing fruit for the kingdom, it's doubtful they had a true salvation experience.

@MsBooklover I think just your attitude alone will let people know you're not like the rest of the world, even in that fleeting moment. You might be surprised that if any of them would have to comment on the type of person you are they would recognize the Christian traits you bear, and if they are a Christian themselves, they would recognize that in you.

@just4him That is so powerful when you think of it. I wonder how I can bear fruit for the kingdom in my everyday life. In my job, I see a lot of people...and a lot of people see me. It is usually fleeting, but I try to be kind. There are different ways to see it...I guess....I think when people come to know I am a Christian...and I am kind to them.....they will relate it to the fact that I am a Christian.

I'm actually pretty quiet about my religion. But people know what I do for a living. And when I encounter evil, I try not to retaliate at that level.

I know you're quiet about it. I respect that. It's good you don't retaliate at their level.

We should try our best in every way we can to do what God wants us to do.
