I am surprised that my son chose this book

Benjamin Franklin

In this summer vacation, my son's teacher required them to read a book in English. Of course there are many famous novels but I know my son's taste. Something like Jane Eyre, Gone with the Wind, Little Prince etc. will not be attractive for them even if they are in Chinese. I selected three books for him to choose. They are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Robinson Crusoe and Benjamin Franklin. They may be interesting books for boys, I think. And my son knows Benjamin Franklin well because my son is interested in science and he knows Benjamin Franklin a scientist more than a President. I am suprised that finally he chose Benjamin Franklin but perhaps he wants to know more about his career in science?

Good for him. He will know the brilliant ideas of Benjamin Franklin. Are the texts transcribed in English language?

i guess it's because he likes science and inventions and building things. tom sawyer and robinson crusoe is more about adventures and travel but in the old days, not modern times and your son is used to traveling in modern times.

Hope he enjoys the book about Benjamin Franklin @youless Read some things about him and it seems that man was quite a scoundrel, but guessing they won't have all of that in the book he will read.

Nobody is a perfect man. In fact I haven't read the negative news about him. As you know, usually the history will tell us the great man's good virtues and seldom mention their shortcomings.
