Catholic Religion?

My husband and children are babtized Catholics. I tried to become a Catholic for many years but because I was married before the Catholic rules have not allowed me to enter this religion faithfully. What are your opinions on this? I was divorced because my Ex was not faithful to me as a wife in any way. I do believe in God and practiced the Catholic religion witj all my heart. This has detered me and my family from going to any church.
