Take a moment and and see how restricted your eye movement is. Specially those who spend most of their time staring and glaring at the pc you will realise how badly your eyes are treated. But there is a way
You just need give your eyes a bit of exercise. My doctor told me this and I am doing it as regularly as possible.
1. Look as far as you possibly can and stay there for a moment
2. Get back to as close as you possible can and stay there for a moment
3. Do the above combination 5 times
4. Look to the left and stay there for a moment. Look to the right and stay there for a moment. Repeat this five times.
5. Roll your eyes clockwise and then anticlockwise gently and do this 5 times.
You have exercised your eyes completely.
You can also put some drops for taking care of dry eyes. I use refresh tears

I used to know someone who had a whole book about eye exercises and he claimed he didn't need to use his glasses as much! I remember one of them was about looking at a flame (on a candle) in the dark. I like the idea of eyerolling you mentioned here - I didn't think of that! Well, I'll start doing these and see how it goes after a couple weeks . . . my eyes aren't what they used to be
. I have the opposite of your dry eyes . . . my eyes often tear up!

I had been doing eye exercises for a long time, I just refined it now watching YouTube, at my age and hours and hours of reading and being on the computer and and smart phone by Gods grace I have never tasted wearing eyeglasses, only sun glasses with no grade.

A very good list of eye exercises.
It's important to blink often as well. Our blink rates lessen because of continuously staring at a PC or a smartphone.
I use herbal or homeopathic eye drops to keep my eyes healthy. And frequently blink.
Also I do palming at regular intervals. All to keep my eyes healthy.
These are truly the best gift of nature to us. And we should treasure it.

Thanks for the advice! I use the Walmart brand of Sustane artificial tears every day.
