Yes indeed and fortunately or unfortunately time distorts our memory about what happened. Time can also be a destructor if we haven't allowed ourselves to heal.

i dont agree that time heals any wound. time can make only that u occupy urself with something else, and to supress and forget ur wound. but it is staying in ur unconscious part of mind, in ur physical body, cells and ur spiritual bodies. it is memorized there if not resolved.
for real healing of wound it is needed much more from ur part.
the best is to react immidiately and to allow urself all pain which is coming to u. to pass through anger, sadness, crying, screeming or anything what coming in that moment.
not to run away from ur pain because it will wait for u in another occasion to go out of u.

I fully agree with you and this is what every elderly person tells some one who is down with spirits.
But the problems is when will the time come. Chances are, the wounded man (hurt mentally or physically) may not be in a position to live upto the time. That person may be requiring emergent help.In that perspective, your statement may not hold good. Otherwise it is good statement.

Yes, to some extent, time can be a Healer to our wounds. We need to be able to also move past them, and keep on working toward making ourselves the best we can be.

I have had many wounds and the way I handle them is I write a poem about it. It is a way for me to recognize what has happened and to verbalize my feelings. The wound may heal the the scars are still present causing me to not let me get into the situation again. I dont forget, I don't dwell on it, I learn and become stronger.

It is true that time does lessen the scars and wounnds that was inflicted although I think time does not naturally bring about healing.

Life is too short for us to lick our wounds...with the passage of time, the pain gets less intense if we are willing to let bygones be bygones, forgive and forget. If we still harbour unforgiveness after a long time, perhaps we are not totally healed yet....
