The number of individuals who are now working online or using the internet in order to earn some amount has made a significant increase over the past few years. Moreover, companies find it more economical to outsource their work rather than hiring a permanent employee to do the job. That is why the availability of online opportunities is also growing each day.
Virtual assistant jobs are very popular nowadays and one of the most in-demand jobs online. Virtual assistant work includes different areas, such as website management, social media marketing, writing, schedule organizer, data entry and others.
However, the competition is also stiff since we are competing with the whole world. It is necessary that we know the required tools and applications.
Have you tried to be a virtual assistant? What specific problem have you encountered and how did you address those problems?

@Nawsheen Wow! that is a good news! Online teaching is one of the best jobs. I also knew some friends who are teaching online. I wish you the best! Are you a teacher by profession?

Most of my friends are Virtual Assistant and earned more than they could ask for. That is why I want to do the same thing but I don't have any experiences. I went to many group sites and trying to learn but I can say it is not easy. I also want to study more about it. Now after searching for different ways to earn online, I worked as a Virtual telemarketer and earn more than I could ask for. But I still want to be a Virtual Assistant still, I just need to equip myself more knowledge about that edge.

Yes, we should always remember, the best things are not easy to get. We have to work really hard to get it. Make use of all the connections you've got and learn from them. Asking questions may not give you the accurate answer but at least you can get a hint on what to search for. Making your own blog with a description of your knowledge and skills and preferences could help you reach out to more clients. It could also save your time because you will just give a link whenever they ask for sample projects you previously completed. Thank you for dropping by.

@JustBhem That's a sound plan. Try to find groups, there are lots of groups on facebook which can help you. There are groups that post the available jobs and training in their group and will help you somehow. Thank you for sharing some valuable inputs in the discussion.

@marguicha as of now, I purchased domains and hosting. This is my investment. I also have some products which I resell.I am only using facebook as a marketing platform. But most of my buyers are my offline friends.

Hi @marguicha! I'm happy to see my old friends around. When I started with myLot in 2011, I really don't have any idea on how I could start earning online. Continuous research and being so serious about it, helped me a lot. I have been exposed to different ways of earning online and it was indeed the best experience. As of now, I am concentrating in blogging and trying to learn every detail. Yes, I am investing some amount but those amounts came from my other online activities. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have a great day!

@prashu228 Thank you for dropping by. Yes, sometimes it is exhausting if you will do the searching alone. Better to go with people with similar interests. Example, you want to enter into freelancing, find people in social media particularly Facebook, of groups that are related to freelancing. The members of these groups are very much willing to share their ideas and success stories. Of course doing your own research is also a big help.

@aninditasen That's good to know. My mom is a teacher but she was not able to experience to teach online. I guess teaching online is much more difficult. On what particular site do you write?

I have logged into something like that but there are places also that do not have things for Israel or I am very rusty with typing so applied for something and did not think about taking the typing test and I failed it and then when practiced and wanted to go back to it they would not let me. I also got very confused by some of these sites and they never really answered my questions and I felt I went round and round in circles with them.

@Hannihar You mean, freelancing sites? Perhaps you should start the search in your own place. I mean when you make the search, you can type 'freelancing sites in Israel'. If you have facebook groups in your place, you can also join them.

@Hannihar I am not sure if this would help. Freelancer.com, Upwork (formerly odesk), Guru.com, LinkedIn. Sometimes we need to invest a little amount for training.

@Sreekala Anyway, you can always submit applications. We should also search for tutorials on how to write a cover letter that would be appealing to the clients. What particular site did you submit an application to?

In some sites, there are certain rules in submitting an application. Example, the client would require the subject would be the one they give. So if you did not read the whole job posting, you will not be able to know that they are requiring something. Once you did not follow the instruction, you will not get a reply. Though I am not sure what site you submitted an application to. Different sites have different rules and requirements. What was the site?

I´´ve heard about that before. It´s true, the competition is high. I´m getting the knowledge to become a virtual assistant in a few years from now. In the meantime, I have other objectives

I think that while there are some decent stay-at home jobs out there, they are few and far between and people often either earn pennies online or are scammed in a lot of cases. I don't think I'd want a stay-at home job either but then again, I am single with my children.

It happens to me when I was just starting. Due to several factors such as lack of knowledge about what I was entering into, no one was there to guide and online working was such a new thing. But nowadays, with the availability of different online platforms and there are many people who are into this kind of work, I believe that there are a lot of resources that we could refer to so that we may be able to get a good paying job from home.

I would think that you are only using myLot to make use of your free time. That is also good. At least here, we can share some knowledge to others and we can also gain new friends. After all interacting with others is a good stress reliever. Thank you for dropping by.

@mysimplelot Thank you for the suggestion. I don't have formal studies in teaching and I would like to focus more on blogging and writing. Perhaps if I get what I really wanted, I could try other fields. For now, I would set aside teaching to give focus to writing.

@FayeHazel - Being a Virtual Assistant is a good way to earn online but with the current situation, the competition is high. We need to continuously develop our skills in order to be hired as one. Thank you for dropping by.
