How Misty became my dog.

I just told how Misty came to live here and how, by looking at her eyes, I found out she was depressed. She could tell more than many people do with those eyes she had. A few months later my grandson Tomás was diagnosed wit a very aggressive kind of cancer. After some months, and while Tomás had all sorts of treatments, they moved to a house where they could be better. Misty went with them at first but, after much thought and in desperation, Tomás´parents decided they had to get rid of Misty as Tomás did not have any way to fight against other infections a dog might have. I told them I´d accept her as she was going to be placed on the streets. That´s how Misty came to be mine. And although later on, after Tomás had died, mu eldest granddaughter Carolina came to ask her back, they had it only for about 2 weeks and decided she´d be better with me. I had her for around 10 more years, until her death of old age. She is in a dog´s heaven, I know.
