LION: I cried a tear…

I am home, and as usual, I am here in this site while listening to the movies on community channel. I just finished watching KONG, and the next film is of human interest.
At first, I thought the actors are unknown to me but when I read the name of Nicole Kidman, and the production is Australia, I thought this might be a good movie.
The film touches on lost children in India. The story is simple but the actors did their parts well. Saroo, the lost kid (because he slept in a train station while his brother Guttu left him to work) was acted by the young adult who won the Oscars in Slum dog Millionaire.
I was glued to my seat while watching the film. And I cried a tear when Saroo finally met his mother in India. His brother Guttu died in the same night that he went back to the train station to look for Saroo.
The credits showed that Saroo mispronounced words, and his real name is Serou, which means LION.
I seldom cry when I watch movies of human interest, but this film is really worth a tear.
Now, I am a fan of 2 Indian movies: ”The Three Idiots”, and “Lion”. Have you watched these 2 movies? I guarantee, you will enjoy it, and you might also shed a tear.

i think LION is a newly released movie. it dates back in 1986 when Saroo was still a young kid.
'the 3 idiots' has the tagline of "ALL IS WELL", and it is a good Indian movie.

I have seen "The Three Idiots" , but not "Lion" . I don't watch sad movies at all @ridingbet . I only watch action or comedy and sometimes sci-fi. I am happy you enjoyed the movie though.

it was my first time to watch an Indian movie like LION, my friend. and i liked it. i too don't usually watch those tear-jerking films but when i read it is based on a true story, it caught my attention into watching it.

Yes I did watch this movie and I got emotional too when he finally met his finally. Then I went on to read about the real Saroo and his life.
Have you watched slumdog millionaire. This is a good one too. It has the same actor in it I think.
