When we reached the place where the biggest cave was, there was a guide waiting for us.He was one of the best guides I have met and showed us everything, pointing the places of interest with his flashlight.
The cave is a natural rock place with stalactites and stalagmites made during centuries or millenniums. They were or different colors, depending on the minerals that the water slowly eroded.
In the roof of the cave, in the farthest place, you could see the paintings made by the first inhabitants of the island. They depicted animals, people ans symbols.
More to the mouth of the cave, the conquerors from Holland had also left their writings, this time with dates that we could still decipher.
The cave is a new place to go for tourists. For many times it was dangerous, but now there“s a guarded Park and the caves have gates that close in the evening.
I have been to Aruba several times and this is one of the most interesting things to visit, besides the wonderful beaches and climate.

We had a wonderful guide. Without him, a lot of the interesting places would have been lost.

It was incredible! They were from the arawak indians who came from Brazil.Probably the cave was a place of worship.

Besides the natural beauty, the cave art was very interesting. The guide told us that probably the cave was a place of worship.
