Since older people seldom feel thirsty although water content in their bodies are much less than 60% of the total body weight, they are strongly recommended to drink more without waiting until they are thirsty. How much water should they drink daily? This depends on how much they weigh. It is said that we should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This is not entirely true as people have different body weight. Those who are overweight certainly should drink more than 8 glasses of water.
Is drinking much water good for your health?

I drink water when I feel thirsty , but I don't follow numbers. Sometimes it may be less or more. Each an every person doesn't have the same requirement of water. I depends upon their metabolic rate, their work condition s, environment and all and also the food they take.
