Nightcore versions of songs on youtube

People make fun of nightcore on the internet because it is a really silly idea. What's the point of speeding up a song a bit and raising the pitch a bit, slapping an anime image in the video? Well, I'm guilty as charged for listening! It's mostly pop songs I listen to in their nightcore version because I generally don't like the sound of most modern pop songs by themselves. Or maybe I should just be honest and say, yes, I'm a huge dork. I have no shame in that! Anybody else listend to nightcore before? If you haven't, you'll probably be weirded out the first time you hear it. Just youtube search nightcore and you'll get a ton of them.

I've never heard of this nightcore trend before. Nothing new, I remember the chipmunks versions of stuff, same thing, a bit more high pitched perhaps. The nice thing is that you can listen to a song in less time, that's one advantage. I'm guilty of watching videos like these, where everytime the singer says something, a feature such as speed increases or decreases. It can get pretty creepy at times.

You're right when you say creepy! I've come across that are very strange, mostly if it's a person singing who already has a high pitched voice and sings fast, then it's just too much.

@Rigel401 Yeah, I can imagine that: dogs start barking.

I was unaware of that term. I only litened to songs. I only feel buffering was slow. So it was not good.

In my opinion a nightcore can turn a bad song into a good one

Yeah, I agree. Even some good songs sound okay with it. I hate the ones where the pitch doesn't match the tempo, because than it gets kind of this gurgly sound.

I do! Sometimes... But most songs are not that good in nightcore, to be honest.

Yeah I can't lie, most songs aren't good in nightcore, but I like finding the rare ones that are!
