In director John Landis' 1978 comedy, Animal House, Larry Kroger (Thomas Hulse) and Kent Dorfman (Stephen Furst) are freshmen at Faber College, and looking for a fraternity to join. They end up with the worst frat on campus, Delta House, the only frat that would take them.
The Delta's are at odds with Dean Wormer (John Vernon,) who has placed them on Double Secret Probation, as well as their rival frat, the cleancut Omega House.
Dubbed as respectively Pinto and Flounder, the pair discover they are part of a cast of characters, including Bluto (John Belushi,) Otter (Tim Matheson,) Boon (Peter Riegert,) and D-Day (Bruce McGill.)
Meanwhile, Flounder gets bullied by ROTC leader (and Omega) Doug Niedermeyer (Mark Metcalf,) Omega leader Greg Marmalard (James Daughton) has it in for Otter, and Dean Wormer is hell bent on expelling the Delta's, making them all eligible for the draft and duty in Vietnam. And Pinto is just trying to lose his virginity.
Their solution? Toga party's and road trips. Oh, and they disrupt the school's annual parade.
With nary an unfunny scene, Animal House is a classic R-Rated comedy that really deserves repeated viewing.
I've linked to the toga party scene, which had to have been an absolute blast to film.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor???!!!!????!!!!
And every time I get in an elevator I say, "Otis, my man!"
Absolutely lewd, rude, crude, socially unacceptable ("f her brains out")....and as you said, not an unfunny moment in the movie.

utterly brilliant film - so wanted to wreck a few guitars the way Belushi does to the guy singing the soppy song in this

That would be quite fun. Especially if you hand it back to the guy with a simple shrug of the shoulders and a "Sorry." Hilarious.
